Who We Are
Stories Unites Us (SUU) is a non-profit organization based in South Africa and the United States. We are dedicated to building NEW pathways in educating children on how to cultivate deeper connections with both themselves and the world around them.

Vladia, the driving force behind Stories Unites Us, is an award-winning photographer with an extensive background in children’s development and education over the past two decades. Growing up in Czechoslovakia, she would later immerse herself in the cultures of East African tribes by living amongst them, as well as guiding expeditions through Southern Africa. Inspired by her deep connection to nature, Vladia founded SUU to provide children worldwide with safe spaces in which to express themselves.
Trained in the arts and a photographer & writer by profession, Natalie is one of the creative minds behind SUU, working both on the ground and behind the scenes. Natalie has collaborated with prominent clients throughout her career, including Microsoft, Fashion Week, Coca Cola, Sanofi, Dimension Data and more. Her work has been featured in leading publications worldwide.
Ingrid is a digital anthropologist and Senior Research Manager at the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership in South Africa. With ten years of experience, she specializes in women’s rights, gender data, and participatory design in digital inclusion. Ingrid has led various projects across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Cape Town.
Nada has been a leader in organizations specializing in customer-focused digital solutions in environmental, education, training, and financial services since 1998. At Capital One, she scaled a mindfulness program from 30 employees to thousands. She joined SUU in 2022, launching programs in South Africa and Costa Rica, furthering her impact on global initiatives. Nada holds certificates in Social Work and Art Therapy, a BS in Marketing from American University and an MS in Engineering Management from George Washington University.
O’Neal brings strong leadership and organizational skills as former Executive Director of the $28 million Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District and former president of the Florida Association of Special Districts. O’Neal is an influential community member in Palm Beach County and holds a BA degree in Social Sciences from Florida State University.
Katie has been Finance Director at Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District for over 20 years, overseeing finance, insurance, IT, PR, and HR. She holds degrees in Accounting and Business Management from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s Certificate in HR Management from Nova Southeastern University. Katie is also a Leadership Palm Beach County alumna.
